Meagre is a powerful, demanding coastal target. Big fish exceed 20 kilos and deliver long fights with heavy head-shakes near the bottom. We target it during its short summer window on sandbanks and turbid edges, using live bait, soft plastics or Slow Jigging.
Where Satara targets it
Rabat’s coastal band (Plage des Nations → Stade Moulay Abdellah) during the short summer window, with occasional Bouznika opportunities when conditions align.
Ideal conditions
Slightly turbid water, moderate swell, slack tide; dawn and dusk are king.
