Recognisable by its forehead hump and pink sheen, the pink dentex is a stubborn fighter of mixed bottoms. Big fish top 10 kilos and contest every metre to the boat. One of the noble fish of Morocco's reefs, superb on the line and on the plate.

Rocky plateaus of the Strait and the edges of the Bouznika sector.
Ideal conditions
Bottoms of 40–100 m, steady but moderate current, fresh bait.
